धनुरादाय बाणेन तदान्वसरत प्रभु: । यज्ञको मृगका रूप धारण करके भागते देख भगवान्‌ शिवने धनुष हाथमें लेकर अपने बाणके द्वारा उसका पीछा किया

Transliteration

dhanur ādāya bāṇena tadānv asarat prabhuḥ |

Translation

ਤਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਯਜ੍ਞ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਸੱਤ੍ਵ ਹਿਰਣ-ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਭੱਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ—ਇਹ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ਧਾਰੀ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੌੜੇ।
