कथमेष महाप्राज्ञ ज्वरः प्रादुर्बभी कुतः । ज्वरोत्पत्तिं निपुणत: श्रोतुमिच्छाम्यहं प्रभो,महामते! प्रभो! यह ज्वर कैसे और कहाँसे उत्पन्न हुआ? मैं ज्वरकी उत्पत्तिका प्रसंग भलीभाँति सुनना चाहता हूँ
Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: katham eṣa mahāprājña jvaraḥ prādurbabhūva kutaḥ | jvarotpattiṁ nipuṇataḥ śrotum icchāmy ahaṁ prabho, mahāmate ||
ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ— ਹੇ ਮਹਾਪ੍ਰਾਜ्ञ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਹ ਜ्वर ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ? ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਮੈਂ ਜ्वर ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਦਾ ਵਰਤਾਂਤ ਬੜੀ ਨਿਪੁੰਨਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
