तृष्णाक्षय-उपदेशः
Instruction on the Cessation of Craving
अन्यत्र तर्कशास्त्रेभ्य आगमार्थ यथागमम् । मेरे मनमें एक भयानक संशय उठ खड़ा हुआ है
anyatra tarkaśāstrebhya āgamārthaṃ yathāgamam |
ਕਪਿਲ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਤર્ક-ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ, ਆਗਮ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਆਗਮ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਾਓ। ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਉੱਠ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਨਮਾਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ, ਇਸ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਯੋਗ-ਮਾਰਗ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹਾਂ—ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ, ਅਨੁਭਵ-ਯੋਗ ਫਲ ਕੀ ਹੈ? ਤਰਕ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਏ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰੋ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਗਮ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਾਂ।
