Tulādhāra’s Instruction to Jājali on Ahiṃsā and Abhaya-dāna
दीप्तानलनिभ: प्राह भगवान् धूमवर्चसे । ततो5हमपि वक्ष्यामि भूय: पुत्र निदर्शनम्
dīptānalanibhaḥ prāha bhagavān dhūmavarcasaḥ | tato 'ham api vakṣyāmi bhūyaḥ putra nidarśanam, vatsa |
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਜਲਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਰਗੇ ਤੇਜ ਵਾਲੇ, ਪਰ ਧੂੰਏਂ-ਰੰਗੀ ਆਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ (ਵਿਆਸ) ਨੇ ਧੂਮਵਰਚਸ (ਸ਼ੁਕ) ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੜ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ; ਇਸ ਪੱਕੀ ਵਿਵੇਕ-ਵਿਦਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ।
