Karma–Vidyā Distinction: Paths of Bondage and Release

आपम्तत्र प्रतिष्ठन्ति ऊर्मिमत्यो महास्वना: | सर्वमेवेदमापूर्य तिष्ठन्ति च चरन्ति च

āpaṃ tatra pratiṣṭhanti ūrmimatyō mahāsvanāḥ | sarvam evedam āpūrya tiṣṭhanti ca caranti ca ||

ਤਦ ਉਹ ਜਲ ਮਹਾਨ ਗੱਜ ਨਾਲ, ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਚੌਹੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਫੈਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ; ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਭਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਠਹਿਰਦੇ ਵੀ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਚਲਦੇ ਵੀ—ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁਬੋ ਕੇ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
