Yoga-kṛtya (योककृत्य) — Vyāsa on Sense-Restraint, Obstacles, and Brahman-Realization
अभिभूयेह चार्चिष्मद् व्यसृजत् सप्त मानसान् | दूरगं बहुधागामि प्रार्थनासंशयात्मकम्
abhibhūyeha cārciṣmad vyasṛjat sapta mānasān | dūragam bahudhāgāmi prārthanāsaṁśayātmakam ||
ਵਿਆਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਇੱਥੇ ਸਭ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਭਿਭੂਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਤੇਜਸਵੀ ਤੱਤ ਨੇ ਸੱਤ ਮਾਨਸ-ਰਿਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮਨ ਦੂਰ ਤੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਨੇਕ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ-ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ-ਸਭਾਵ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਸ਼ ਕਰ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
