This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it does not teach a new principle directly, but frames the surrounding material as Mokṣa-dharma—ethical and spiritual instruction oriented toward liberation—delivered in the context of a dialogue between Vāsudeva and Ugrāsena.
The text is marking the end of Adhyāya 230 in the Śānti Parva, Mokṣa-dharma section, specifying that the chapter belongs to the Vāsudeva–Ugrāsena conversation. It functions as a formal closure and bibliographic locator within the epic.
