ब्राह्मणस्य पूर्वतरा वृत्तिः — The Earlier Ideal Conduct of a Brahmana

सर्वे धर्मपराश्चासन् सर्वे सततसत्रिण: । अन्तरिक्षचरा: सर्वे सर्वेडभिमुखयोधिन:
sarve dharmaparāś cāsan sarve satatasatriṇaḥ | antarīkṣacarāḥ sarve sarve 'bhimukhayodhinaḥ ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— “ਉਹ ਸਭ ਧਰਮ-ਪਰਾਇਣ ਸਨ; ਸਭ ਨਿੱਤ ਸਤ੍ਰ-ਯਜ੍ਞ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ। ਸਭ ਅੰਤਰਿਕਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਚਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਅਭਿਮੁਖ ਯੋਧੇ ਸਨ—ਬਿਨਾ ਛਲ ਦੇ, ਸਾਹਮਣੇ-ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ।”
