शद्राश्न ब्राह्मणीं भार्यामुपयास्यन्ति निर्भया: । वियोनिषु विमोक्ष्यन्ति बीजानि पुरुषा यदा
śūdrāś ca brāhmaṇīṁ bhāryām upayāsyanti nirbhayāḥ | viyoniṣu vimokṣyanti bījāni puruṣā yadā ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼ੂਦਰ ਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਡਰ ਤੇ ਸੰਯਮ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਨੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਲੱਗਣਗੇ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਅਣਉਚਿਤ ਯੋਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਬੀਜ ਛੱਡਣਗੇ। ਇਹ ਧਰਮ-ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਦੇ ਟੁੱਟਣ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਹੈ।
