हत्वा जित्वा च मघवन्‌ यः कश्ित्‌ पुरुषायते । अकर्ता होव भवति कर्ता होव करोति तत्‌

Transliteration

hatvā jitvā ca maghavan yaḥ kaścit puruṣāyate | akartā hova bhavati kartā hova karoti tat, maghavan ||

Translation

ਸ਼ਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਮਘਵਨ! ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਜਾਂ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੌਰੁਸ਼ ਦਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਕਰਮ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ; ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਕਰਮ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ—ਉਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
