इदमनुपधिवाक्यमच्छलं परमनिरामयमात्मसाक्षिकम्‌ | नरपतिरभिवीक्ष्य विस्मित: पुनरनुयोक्तुमिदं प्रचक्रमे

Transliteration

idam anupadhivākyam acchalaṁ paramanirāmayam ātmasākṣikam | narapatir abhivīkṣya vismitaḥ punar anuyoktum idaṁ pracakrame ||

Translation

ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਪੰਚਸ਼ਿਖ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨਿਰੁਪਾਧਿ, ਨਿਸ਼ਕਪਟ, ਸਰਵਥਾ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਅਨੁਭੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਨਕ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ; ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਯ ਕੀਤਾ।
