जापक–इक्ष्वाकु–सत्यविवादः

भूगुरुवाच हुतेन शाम्यते पापं स्वाध्यायै: शान्तिरुत्तमा दानेन भोगानित्याहुस्तपसा स्वर्गमाप्तुयात्‌

bhṛgur uvāca | hutena śāmyate pāpaṃ svādhyāyaiḥ śāntir uttamā | dānena bhogān ity āhuḥ tapasā svargam āpnuyāt ||

ਭ੍ਰਿਗੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਮੁਨੇ! ਹਵਨ-ਹੋਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਪ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਸਵਾਧਿਆਇ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਤਮ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਦਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਗ-ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਵਰਗਲੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
