भूगुरुवाच वायोग्गतिमहं ब्रह्मन् कथयिष्यामि तेडनघ । प्राणिनामनिलो देहान् यथा चेष्टयते बली
bhṛgur uvāca vāyor gatiṃ ahaṃ brahman kathayiṣyāmi te 'n-agha | prāṇinām anilo dehān yathā ceṣṭayate balī ||
ਭ੍ਰਿਗੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—“ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ, ਹੇ ਨਿਰਪਾਪ ਮਹਰਿਸ਼ੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਾਯੂ ਦੀ ਗਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰਜ-ਵਿਧੀ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ। ਬਲਵਾਨ ਅਨਿਲ (ਪ੍ਰਾਣਵਾਯੂ) ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚੇਸ਼ਟਾਸ਼ੀਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੈਂ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।”
