भूगुरुवाच प्रजाविसर्ग विविधं मानसो मनसासृजत्‌ | संरक्षणार्थ भूतानां सृष्ट प्रथणतो जलम्‌

Transliteration

bhṛgur uvāca—prajāvisargaṁ vividhaṁ mānaso manasāsṛjat | saṁrakṣaṇārthaṁ bhūtānāṁ sṛṣṭaṁ prathamataḥ jalam ||

Translation

ਭ੍ਰਿਗੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਮਨੋਜ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ-ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਭੂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਲ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
