Adhyāya 178 — The courses of prāṇa-vāyu and the regulation of the bodily fire
पाताल इव दुष्पूरो मां दुःखैय्योक्तुमिच्छसि । नाहमद्य समावेष्ठूं शक्य: काम पुनस्त्वया
pātāla iva duṣpūro māṃ duḥkhair yoktum icchasi | nāham adya samāveṣṭuṃ śakyaḥ kāma punas tvayā ||
ਹੇ ਕਾਮ! ਤੂੰ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਅਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ; ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕੇਂਗਾ।
