स चाद्य दिवस: पुण्यो हतिथिश्चायमागतः । संकल्पितं चैव धनं कि विचार्यमत: परम्
sa cādya divasaḥ puṇyo hatithiścāyam āgataḥ | saṅkalpitaṃ caiva dhanaṃ ki vicāryamataḥ param ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—‘ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਪੁੰਨਮਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਯੋਗ ਤਿਥੀ ਵੀ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਹੈ। ਧਨ ਦਾ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ; ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ?’
