अहो देहप्रदानेन दर्शितातिथिपूजना

Transliteration

aho deha-pradānena darśitātithi-pūjanā

Translation

ਅਹੋ! ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਦਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਕਬੂਤਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਅਤਿਥੀ-ਸਤਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਉਜਲਾ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਧਰਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਆਚਰਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ; ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਧਰਮ ਹੀ ਪਰਮ ਆਸਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਗਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਧਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਪੰਛੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹਾ ਧਰਮ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਧਰਮ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਭੀਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ।
