अबुद्धिपूर्वकपापविमोचनप्रश्नः — Janamejaya’s Unintended Transgression and the Indrota Rebuke
यो हि वच्िद् द्विज॑ हन्याद् गांच लोकस्य मातरम्
yo hi kaścid dvija hanyād gāṁ lokasya mātaram
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਦਵਿਜ ਲੋਕ-ਮਾਤਾ ਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਧ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਘੋਰ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗਾਂ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਬ-ਹਿਤਕਾਰੀ ਮੰਨੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਬ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੈ।
