विश्वामित्र उवाच अगस्त्येनासुरो जग्धो वातापि: क्षुधितेन वै । अहमापदगत: क्षुत्तो भक्षयिष्ये श्वजाघनीम्
Viśvāmitra uvāca: Agastyenāsuro jagdho Vātāpiḥ kṣudhitenā vai | aham āpadgataḥ kṣuttaḥ bhakṣayiṣye śvajāghanīm ||
ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਭੁੱਖੇ ਮਹਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਅਗਸਤ੍ਯ ਨੇ ਵਾਤਾਪੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਅਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਕਰਕੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਆਪੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਦੀ ਰਾਨ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
