आपद्धर्मे राज्ञः नीतिः — Bharadvāja’s Counsel on Crisis-Statecraft (Śānti Parva 138)
परीक्ष्यकारी युक्तश्न स सम्यगुपपादयेत् । देशकालावभिप्रेतो ताभ्यां फलमवाप्नुयात्
parīkṣyakārī yuktaśna sa samyag upapādayet | deśakālāv abhipreto tābhyāṃ phalam avāpnuyāt ||
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੋਚ-ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ, ਸੰਯਮਿਤ ਆਚਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇੱਛਿਤ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲ ਦਾ ਠੀਕ-ਠੀਕ ਉਪਯੋਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਚਾਹਾ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
