Vyāghra–Gomāyu Saṃvāda (व्याघ्रगोमायु संवाद) — Testing Character Beneath Appearances
पूजितोऊहं त्वया पूर्व पश्चाच्चैव विमानितः । परेषामास्पदं नीतो वस्तुं नाहम्यहं त्वयि
pūjito’haṃ tvayā pūrvaṃ paścāccaiva vimānitaḥ | pareṣām āspadaṃ nīto vastuṃ nāham ahaṃ tvayi ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—“ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਫਿਰ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਜੋਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ।”
