शकुनि (हिरण्मय-पक्षी) उपदेशः — Vighasāśin and the Difficulty of Gārhasthya
पुण्यं भवति कर्मेदं प्रशस्तं चैव जीवितम् । सिद्धार्थस्ति गतिं मुख्यां प्राप्ता धर्मपरायणा:
puṇyaṃ bhavati karmedaṃ praśastaṃ caiva jīvitam | siddhārthāste gatiṃ mukhyāṃ prāptā dharmaparāyaṇāḥ ||
ਇਹ ਕਰਮ ਪੁੰਨਦਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾਯੋਗ ਹੈ। ਧਰਮ-ਪਰਾਇਣ ਉਹ ਪੁਰਖ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਾਰਥ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਗਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
