रणभूमिवर्णनम् — Devāsuropama-yuddha and the ‘River’ Metaphor of the Battlefield
कुरुष्वल्पावशिष्टेषु पाण्डवेषु च संयुगे । सुसंरब्धेषु पार्थेषु पराक्रान्तेषु संजय
kuruṣv alpāvaśiṣṭeṣu pāṇḍaveṣu ca saṃyuge | susaṃrabdheṣu pārtheṣu parākrānteṣu sañjaya ||
ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ— ਸੰਜਯ! ਜਦੋਂ ਜੰਗ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੀ ਬਚੇ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਾ-ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਾਰਥ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰੇ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਤਦ ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ—ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ।
