इस प्रकार महाबली शक्तिशाली वीर कार्तिकेयने समरांगणमें अनेक आततायी देवद्रोहियोंका संहार कर डाला ।।

Transliteration

bāṇo nāmātha daiteyo baleḥ putro mahābalaḥ | krauñca-parvatam āśritya deva-saṅghān abādhata ||

Translation

ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਬਾਣ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਦੈਤ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਮਹਾਬਲੀ ਬਲੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮੀ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਕ੍ਰੌਂਚ ਪਹਾੜ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪੀੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
