Kārttikeya-Abhiṣecana: Mātṛgaṇa-Nāma Saṃkīrtana and Skanda’s Commission
तथा देवा ददुस्तस्मै सेनां नैऋतसंकुलाम् । देवशत्रुक्षयकरीमजय्यां विष्णुरूपिणीम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
tathā devā dadus tasmai senāṃ nairṛta-saṅkulām |
deva-śatru-kṣaya-karīm ajayyāṃ viṣṇu-rūpiṇīm ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੈਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ, ਦੇਵ-ਸ਼ਤਰੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ, ਅਜੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ-ਰੂਪिणੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਅੰਸ਼ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਯੁੱਧ ਵੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰਸ਼ੁਦਾ ਕਰਤੱਬ ਹੈ: ਬਲ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਲਾਭ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਵਟ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਕੇ ਲੋਕ-ਕ੍ਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
