श्वेताक्षा लोहितग्रीवा: पिड़ाक्षाश्ष॒ तथा परे । कल्माषा बहवो राजंश्षित्रवर्णाक्ष भारत
śvetākṣā lohitagrīvāḥ piḍākṣāś ca tathā pare | kalmāṣā bahavo rājan śitravarṇākṣa bhārata ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਬੋਲੇ— ਕਈਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਚਿੱਟੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਰਦਨ ਲਾਲ; ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਪਿੰਗਲ-ਭੂਰੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਹੇ ਭਰਤਵੰਸ਼ੀ ਰਾਜਨ, ਬਹੁਤੇ ਪਾਰਸ਼ਦ ਚਿਤਕਬਰੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਰੰਗ-ਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵੀ ਨਾਨਾ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
