तयोत्क्षिप्त: समुत्तस्थौ पूजयंस्त्रिदिवौकस: । राजन! मुनिके इतना कहते ही कुएँमें तरंगमालाओंसे सुशोभित सरस्वती लहरा उठी। उसने अपने जलके वेगसे मुनिको ऊपर उठा दिया और वे बाहर निकल आये। फिर उन्होंने देवताओंका पूजन किया

ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਮুনি ਦੇ ਇਤਨਾ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੀ ਕੂਏਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਲਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਉੱਛਲ ਪਈ। ਆਪਣੇ ਜਲ-ਵੇਗ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮুনি ਨੂੰ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਦਿਵ-ਵਾਸੀ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
