हीनप्राणजडान्धेषु सुप्तभीतोत्थितेषु च । मत्तोन्मत्तप्रमत्तेषु न शस्त्राणि च पातयेत्
hīnaprāṇajaḍāndheṣu suptabhītotthiteṣu ca | mattonmattapramatteṣu na śastrāṇi ca pātayet ||
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਬਲ ਘੱਟ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮੰਦਬੁੱਧੀ ਜਾਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ; ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਸੁੱਤੇ, ਡਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਾਂ ਹੁਣੇ ਉੱਠੇ ਹਨ; ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਮੱਤੇ, ਉਨਮੱਤੇ ਜਾਂ ਬੇਖ਼ਬਰ ਹਨ—ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
