Report of the Night Raid and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament
संग्रामचन्द्रोदयवेगवेलं द्रोणार्णवं ज्यातलनेमिघोषम् । ये तेरुरुच्चावचशस्त्रनौभि- स्ते राजपुत्रा निहता: प्रमादात्
saṅgrāmacandrodayavegavelaṃ droṇārṇavaṃ jyātalanemighoṣam | ye terur uccāvacāśastranāubhis te rājaputrā nihatāḥ pramādāt ||
ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਚੰਦ੍ਰੋਦਯ ਵਾਂਗ ਦ੍ਰੋਣ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੇਜ਼ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰਦਾ ਸੀ; ਜਿਆ ਦੀ ਟੰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਥ-ਚੱਕਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੁਨ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਜਨਾ ਸੀ। ਉੱਚੇ-ਨੀਵੇਂ, ਨਾਨਾ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦ੍ਰੋਣ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹੀ ਰਾਜਪੁੱਤਰ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਖ਼ਬਰੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਿਹਤ ਹੋਏ।
