Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: vane gateṣu pārtheṣu nirjitiṣu dur-odare | dhṛtarāṣṭro mahārājas tadā cintā samāviśat ||

Translation

ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਦੋਂ ਪૃਥਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਾਂਡਵ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਜੂਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਰ ਕੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ, ਤਦ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਨੂੰ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨੇ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ।
