Chapter 50
उद्धवो वा महाबुद्धिर्वष्णीनामर्चितो नूप । तदल पुत्र द्यूतेन द्यूते भेदो हि दृश्यते
vaishampāyana uvāca |
uddhavo vā mahābuddhir vṛṣṇīnām arcito nṛpa |
tad alpa-putra dyūtena dyūte bhedo hi dṛśyate ||
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ, ਵ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਣੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਜਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਉੱਧਵ ਵੀ ਮਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਧੀਮਾਨ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜੂਏ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ; ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੂਏ ਨਾਲ ਫੁੱਟ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਉੱਠਦੇ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
