Bhīṣma–Śiśupāla-saṃvādaḥ
Bhishma and Shishupala’s exchange in the assembly
ततः प्रत्यक्षतो दृष्टवा पक्षिणस्ते समीपगा: । निजलघ्नुस्तं तदा हंसं मिथ्यावृत्तं कुरूद्वह
tataḥ pratyakṣato dṛṣṭvā pakṣiṇas te samīpagāḥ | nijalaghnus taṃ tadā haṃsaṃ mithyāvṛttaṃ kurūdvaha ||
ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਪੰਛੀ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਅੱਖੀਂ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ, ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਝੂਠਾ ਭੇਸ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਹੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਡਾਲਿਆ—ਹੇ ਕੁਰੂ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ।
