ਇੱਥੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਲਾਈਨ ਮਹਾਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਨਯੋਗ ਸ਼ਲੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ; ਇਹ ਗੀਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ-ਸੂਚਨਾ, ਛੰਦ-ਗਿਣਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਾ-ਸੰਕੇਤ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਟਿੱਪਣੀਆਂ ਲੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸਲ ਸ਼ਲੋਕ-ਪਾਠ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ 4.114 ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
