एवं ब्रुवन्‌ प्रस्खलिता श्वसूतो विचाल्यमानो<र्जुनबाणपातै: । मर्माभिघाताच्छिथिल: क्रियासु पुन: पुनर्धर्ममसौ जगह

Transliteration

evaṁ bruvan praskhalitaḥ śvasūtaḥ vicālyamāno 'rjunabāṇapātaiḥ | marmābhighātāc chithilaḥ kriyāsu punaḥ punaḥ dharmam asau jagarha ||

Translation

ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: ਇਉਂ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਰਨ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਡੋਲ ਗਿਆ; ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਥੀ ਲਰਖੜਾ ਗਏ। ਮਰਮ-ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਾਵ ਪੈਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਕਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਿੱਲਾ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਰ ਵਾਰ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ।
