ततः: शराणां नवतिं तदार्जुन: ससर्ज कर्णेडन्तकदण्डसंनि भाम् । तैः पत्रिभिविंद्धतनु: स विव्यथे तथा यथा वज्रविदारितो5चल:
tataḥ śarāṇāṁ navatiṁ tadārjunaḥ sasarja karṇe daṇḍāntaka-daṇḍa-sannibhām | taiḥ patribhir viddha-tanuḥ sa vivyathe tathā yathā vajra-vidārito 'calaḥ ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਫਿਰ ਅਰਜੁਨ ਨੇ ਯਮਦੰਡ ਵਰਗੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਨੱਬੇ ਤੀਰ ਕਰਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਛੱਡੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੇ ਵਜ੍ਰ ਨਾਲ ਚੀਰੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਵਾਂਗ ਦਰਦ ਨਾਲ ਤੜਫ਼ ਉਠਿਆ।
