Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | nihanmi duḥśāsanam adya pāpaṁ saṁrakṣyatām adya samasta-yodhāḥ |

Translation

ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—“ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਪੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਯੋਧੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਅੱਜ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵਿਖਾਓ।” ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਰਨ, ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਚਾਰਯ, ਅਸ਼ਵੱਥਾਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਵਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਹ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
