पुत्रास्तु ते महाराज जग्मु: कर्णरथं प्रति । अगाधे मज्जतां तेषां द्वीप: कर्णोडभवत्तदा
sañjaya uvāca |
putrās tu te mahārāja jagmuḥ karṇarathaṃ prati |
agādhe majjatāṃ teṣāṃ dvīpaḥ karṇo ’bhavat tadā ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਹੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਫਿਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਕਰਣ ਦੇ ਰਥ ਵੱਲ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਸੰਕਟ ਦੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ; ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਰਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਟਾਪੂ ਵਾਂਗ ਆਸਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।
