Educational Q&A

The verse highlights kṣatriya resolve: even when wounded and under pressure, warriors uphold their martial duty by confronting a powerful adversary directly. Ethically, it portrays steadfastness and collective courage in the face of a feared champion.

In the Karṇa Parva battle, Cedi and Matsya fighters—though being struck and injured—charge at Karna as a single focal target and overwhelm him with concentrated arrow volleys, as Sanjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra.
