एक एव रणे भीष्म एकवीरत्वमागत: । “किंतु समरांगणमें भीष्मजी अकेले ही पाण्डवों और सूंजयोंको खदेड़कर युद्धमें अद्वितीय वीरके रूपमें विख्यात हुए
eka eva raṇe bhīṣma ekavīratvam āgataḥ |
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਉਸ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਹੀ ਇਕਵੀਰ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਛਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਿੰਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਧੱਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਾਂਗਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਮਿਸਾਲ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਇਆ।
