त्वं देवितात्वत्कृते राज्यनाश- स्त्वत्सम्भवं नो व्यसन नरेन्द्र । मास्मान् क्र्रैवाक््प्रतोदैस्तुदंस्त्व॑ भूयो राजन् कोपयेस्त्वल्पभाग्य:,नरेन्द्र! तू भाग्यहीन जुआरी है। तेरे ही कारण हमारे राज्यका नाश हुआ और तुझसे ही हमें घोर संकटकी प्राप्ति हुई। राजन! अब तू अपने वचनरूपी चाबुकोंसे हमें पीड़ा देते हुए फिर कुपित न कर
tvaṁ devitāt tvat-kṛte rājya-nāśas tvat-sambhavaṁ no vyasanaṁ narendra | māsmān kraivāk-pratodais tudaṁs tvaṁ bhūyo rājan kopayes tv alpa-bhāgyaḥ ||
ਹੇ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ! ਤੂੰ ਬਦਕਿਸਮਤ ਜੂਆਰੀ ਹੈਂ। ਤੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਰਾਜ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਵਿਪਤਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਈ। ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਕਠੋਰ ਬੋਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋੜੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੁਖੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਭੜਕਾ।
