अक्षेषु दोषा बहवो विधर्मा: श्रुतास्त्वया सहदेवो<ब्रवीद् यान् । तान् नैषि त्वं त्यक्तुमसाधुजुष्टां- स्तेन सम सर्वे निरयं प्रपन्ना:
arjuna uvāca |
akṣeṣu doṣā bahavo vidharmāḥ śrutās tvayā sahadevo 'bravīd yān |
tān naiṣi tvaṃ tyaktum asādhu-juṣṭāṃs tena sma sarve nirayaṃ prapannāḥ ||
ਅਰਜੁਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜੂਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹਨ, ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਰਤੂਤਾਂ ਹਨ—ਜੋ ਸਹਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਸਨ। ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਾਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਵਿਅਸਨ ਛੱਡ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ; ਇਸੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਨਰਕ-ਸਮਾਨ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਾਂ।
