परिघैरायसैघोरैरय:कुन्तै: परश्वथै: । शरीरैर्बहुभिश्छिन्ने: शोणितौघपरिप्लुतै:
parighair āyasai ghorair ayaḥ-kuntaiḥ paraśvathaiḥ | śarīrair bahubhiś chinnaiḥ śoṇitaugha-pariplutaiḥ ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਡਰਾਉਣੇ ਲੋਹੇ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਘਾਂ, ਲੋਹੇ ਦੀ ਨੋਕ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੁੰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਛਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ; ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕੱਟੇ-ਫੱਟੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਲਹੂ ਦੇ ਰੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ।
