अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च

सृजन्तं सायकान्‌ क्रुद्धं कर्णमाहवशोभिनम्‌ | उन सभी वीरोंने रथ-मार्गसे आकर युद्धभूमिमें शोभा पाने तथा कुपित होकर बाणोंकी वर्षा करनेवाले नरश्रेष्ठ कर्णको चारों ओरसे घेर लिया

Transliteration

sṛjantaṃ sāyakān kruddhaṃ karṇam āhavaśobhinam |

Translation

ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ, ਜੰਗ-ਭੂਮੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੋਭਾ ਬਣੇ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਰਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ।
