Educational Q&A

In a dharmic battle context, a warrior is tested not only by strength but by steadiness of mind: when a weapon fails, one should not collapse into despair but act with presence, courage, and readiness to continue one’s duty by other means.

Sañjaya reports that Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s bow has been cut/broken; he discards it and prepares to proceed in the combat, indicating the fight’s intensity and Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s undaunted spirit.
