Prelude to Karṇa’s Slaying
अपरे कृष्यमाणाश्रन विचेष्टन्तो महीतले । भावान् बहुविधांश्वक्रुस्ताडिता: शरतोमरै:
apare kṛṣyamāṇāś ca viceṣṭanto mahītale | bhāvān bahuvidhāṁś cakrus tāḍitāḥ śaratomaraiḥ ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਘੋੜੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੋਮਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਡਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੁੜਕਦੇ ਸਨ; ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਸੀਟਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੜਫ਼ਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਚੈਨੀ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ।
