कृष्णेन अर्जुनस्य प्रोत्साहनम् — Kṛṣṇa’s Exhortation to Arjuna
Prelude to Karṇa’s Slaying
अपरे प्राद्रवन् नागा: शल्यार्ता व्रणपीडिता: । प्रतिमानैश्व कुम्भैश्न पेतुरुव्या महाहवे
apare prādravan nāgāḥ śalyārtā vraṇapīḍitāḥ | pratimānaiś ca kumbhaiś ca petur urvyā mahāhave ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਹੋਰ ਹਾਥੀ ਭਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਦ ਨਾਲ ਤੜਫ਼ਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੱਜੇ; ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਮਹਾਂਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ—ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਘੜੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਕੁੰਭ-ਮਸਤਕਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਧਮਾਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਢਹਿ ਗਏ।
