स वै सम्पत्स्यते कर्ण सत्यमेतद्‌ ब्रवीमि ते । “कर्ण! तुम्हारे हृदयमें चिरकालसे जो अभीष्ट मनोरथ संचित है, वह निश्चय ही सफल होगा, यह मैं तुमसे सत्य कहता हूँ

Transliteration

sa vai sampatsyate karṇa satyam etad bravīmi te |

Translation

ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਕਰਨ, ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ; ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਰਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਚਿਤ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਿਯ ਅਭੀਸ਼ਟ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
