युधिष्ठिरस्य धनंजय-प्रति गर्हा
Yudhiṣṭhira’s Reproach to Dhanaṃjaya
स राजगृद्धिभी रुद्ध: पाण्डुपाज्चालकेकयै: । नाशकत् तानकिक्रान्तुं मृत्युर्रह्म विदो यथा
sa rājagṛddhibhī ruddhaḥ pāṇḍupāñcālakekayaiḥ | nāśakat tān atikrāntuṁ mṛtyur brahmavido yathā ||
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ, ਪਾਂਚਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਕਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰੋਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਘੇਰ ਕੇ ਰੋਕ ਲਿਆ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਵੇਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਲੰਘ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮਹਾਵੀਰ ਕਰਣ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਰੱਖਿਆ-ਚੱਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਕਿਆ।
