Transliteration

tathā vartati saṅgrāme gajavājinarakṣaye

Translation

ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਹਾਥੀਆਂ, ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹ ਸੰਗਰਾਮ ਉਸੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ, ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਹੂ ਦੀ ਨਦੀ ਵਹਿ ਪਈ; ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਹਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਏ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਹਾਥੀ, ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਵ ਵਹਿੰਦੇ ਗਏ।
