कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
वरान् प्रादाद् बहुविधान् भार्गवाय महात्मने । उक्तश्न देवदेवेन प्रीतियुक्तेन शूलिना,उन देवाधिदेव त्रिशूलधारी भगवान् शिवने बड़ी प्रसन्नताके साथ महात्मा भार्गवको नाना प्रकारके वर प्रदान किये
varān prādād bahuvidhān bhārgavāya mahātmane | uktaś ca devadevena prītiyuktena śūlinā ||
ਦੇਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵ, ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੂਲਧਾਰੀ ਮਹਾਦੇਵ, ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਭਾਰਗਵ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ।
महेश्वर उवाच
Boons and power are depicted as gifts that arise from divine pleasure and the recipient’s worthiness; the ethical emphasis is that true greatness (mahātman-hood) attracts grace, and that power should be received with humility and used in alignment with dharma.
Śiva (the trident-bearer), delighted, bestows multiple boons upon Bhārgava (Paraśurāma), marking divine approval and empowerment within the unfolding events of the Karṇa Parva.
